Short film - An inclusive dance journey for people with Parkinson’s
Tango Para Todos is a community dance project that brings together people with Parkinson’s, their partners, and professional dancers and therapists in a space of connection, creativity, and movement.
This short clip is the result of a first 10-week tango course in Roermond, the Netherlands. Participants explored the essence of Argentine tango—improvisation, trust, and shared rhythm—culminating in this joyful final video, danced by participants, teachers, and friends.
The project is led by:
Marika Meoli – Movement therapist & Performer (IT)
Kathinka Poismans – Music therapist & Tango teacher (NL)
Patrick Arellano – Certified tango teacher (CL)
The course was designed to support people with Parkinson’s through the powerful combination of music, movement, and partnership. While not defined as therapy, the course was enriched by the therapeutic team’s background, offering a supportive, safe and inspiring experience for all.
This film celebrates the inclusive and social power of dance - where everyone, regardless of experience or condition, can express themselves and grow through movement.
Thank you to everyone who took part in this journey. Let’s keep dancing, learning, and connecting - together.
